LOCTITE Pulse facilitates the seamless communication of raw and analysed data, as well as insights, to customer systems through the LOCTITE Pulse web app, offering complete data visualisation in a user-friendly interface. Notifications are shared via email or push notifications. Additionally, notifications and other data can be shared via standard APIs to various systems.

Yes, LOCTITE Pulse is committed to continuous innovation. We regularly update our product offerings and explore opportunities for expansion. Our goal is that customers can monitor different sets of critical equipment from a single solution/app – LOCTITE Pulse.

Smart traps

A plant housing numerous steam traps often faces challenges with accessibility, relying on manual inspections involving skilled labour to balance cost and risk. Traditional annual inspections lead to high failure costs due to the complex behaviour of steam traps. LOCTITE Pulse Smart Steam Traps revolutionise this by offering continuous monitoring, early detection of failures and timely repairs, thereby minimising costs and consequences. LOCTITE Pulse Smart Steam Traps distinguish irregularities from operational variations thanks to AI and pattern recognition, ensuring ongoing asset monitoring. Beyond efficiency, the solution emphasises sustainability. For example, with 100 Smart Steam Trap sensors installed, we estimate a reduction of up to 560 tons of emissions per year of CO2, equivalent to planting a whopping 20,000 trees, and €450,000 saved through reduced steam loss.

LOCTITE Pulse helps improve energy efficiency by providing timely alerts on potential issues, reducing unplanned downtime and optimising maintenance schedules. This leads to overall energy savings and increased operational efficiency.

Yes, the solution is approved for ATEX Zones. The sensors and the DAU, which are located next to the monitored steam trap, are approved for ATEX Zone 1. The Gateway is certified for ATEX Zone 2. Further details of the ATEX certification and other technical specifications can be found on the Smart Steam Trap product description sheet (PDS).

The Smart Steam Trap System can be used for all mechanical, thermodynamic and thermostatic steam trap types. Further technical specifications can be found on the Smart Steam Trap product description sheet (PDS).

The implementation of LOCTITE Pulse Smart Steam Traps is straightforward and they can be retrofitted. Inlet and outlet sensors, along with a data acquisition unit (DAU), are easily attached to the pipework surrounding the steam trap. The gateway device wirelessly collects raw data from the DAUs, transmitting it via the mobile network.

Smart flanges

LOCTITE Pulse Smart Flange Leak Detection is an easy-to-use smart maintenance solution that can detect early leakages and may predict critical incidents. You can monitor critical assets in a web-based app and receive notifications when irregularities have been measured. This enables operators to react in a timely manner and decrease the risks leaks worsening, thereby minimising the risk of extensive damage, production downtime and associated costs.

The sensors can detect a wide range of liquid hydrocarbons. A detailed list of media can be found on the Smart Flange product description sheet (PDS).

The temperature limitations of the sensor are defined by a temperature resistance of up to 80°C (176°F) continuously.

Yes, LOCTITE Pulse Smart Flange holds an ATEX certification for ATEX Zone 2. Further details on the ATEX classification can be found on the Smart Flange product description sheet (PDS).

Smart Flange sensors are 300 mm & 500 mm, covering flange sizes DN 20 to DN 300.

LOCTITE Pulse Smart Flange sensors will detect liquid hydrocarbons with as little as 1 ml of fluid and are sensitive to the first drips.

Rotating equipment

LOCTITE Pulse is versatile and applicable to various critical rotating equipment, including electric motors, pumps, compressors, fans, gear drives, generators and more.

Early detection of asset failure allows for reduced unplanned downtime, wireless monitoring reduces manual inspection efforts, maintenance can be planned more effectively, and the robust design allows for indoor and outdoor use.

LOCTITE Pulse adopts a 6-in-1 approach, monitoring 3D vibration, acoustic emissions, magnetic flux, true RPM, temperature and humidity simultaneously. This comprehensive monitoring ensures early detection and effective equipment management. The use of AI allows confidence in the accuracy of failure predictions and recommendations. All of these parameters help build a clear picture of the status of the equipment, which is reflected in its "remaining useful life" score.

Yes, LOCTITE Pulse Smart Rotating Equipment is approved for Zone 0 (C1D1), supporting safety in environments with a risk of explosive atmospheres.

Installing LOCTITE Pulse Smart Rotating Equipment is as easy as plug & play. Our solution eliminates cables and additional equipment, ensuring a straightforward setup. The equipment does not need to be turned off during installation. There are various mounting options to ensure secure installation is achieved: Magnetic flat mounts are the most common, but a curved version of the magnet is also available if the surface requires it. These mounts are reinforced with LOCTITE adhesive. A stud mount is also available if preferred.

LOCTITE Pulse Smart Rotating Equipment withstands equipment surface temperatures up to 70°C / 158°F.

Pipe and Tank

LOCTITE Pulse is versatile and applicable to most industrial pipe and tank configurations, even ageing tanks and pipes, as the solution can be retrofitted.

LOCTITE Pulse Smart Pipe and Tank is here to help you monitor large pieces of equipment, including those in high-consequence and difficult-to-access areas. LOCTITE Pulse advanced retrofit solution supports early-stage hydrocarbon leak detection, helping to predict critical incidents, reducing downtime, and enhancing sustainability by addressing environmental risks even in ageing tanks and pipes.

The sensors can detect a wide range of liquid hydrocarbons.

Sensors: temperature resistance of 80°C.

Yes, LOCTITE Pulse Smart Pipe & Tank holds ATEX certification (Sensors and accessories: ATEX Zone 0 - simple apparatus category; Edge Device: ATEX Zone 2).
